I’m in New York for ThrillerFest and was privileged to have dinner last night with one of my sources for Bomb Squad NYC.
We went to Gradisca, about an eight-minute walk from Bomb Squad headquarters. (Ten minutes from the fictional headquarters.) The owner comes from Bologna, and his mother visits New York every other month to make her special pastas by hand.
In the middle of the restaurant, Mama worked on her pasta while we chatted and ate. A charming downtown neighborhood experience!
We had Mama Caterina’s meat tortellini with cream, Parma ham and peas. Fresco e gusto so! Needless to say, we cleaned the plates.
